A conversation generated as it happens.
SlopTime is an experimental browser-based service for live conversations with fictional AI video characters. You speak naturally, the character responds, and a new five-second video reply is generated during the call.
Pay as you go
Buy a video pack with no subscription. Current packs: 12 videos for $1.99; 50 videos for $6.99; 88 videos for $9.99. Each video credit pays for one five-second generation; longer responses can use more than one. Advanced users can also bring supported provider API keys and pay those providers directly.
No account required
No signup is required. Video credits are stored by SlopTime and linked to this browser through an anonymous identifier. Keep your Stripe receipt in case you lose access and need help restoring them. Paid recordings contain the character video and audio together with your microphone audio, and are deleted after 30 days. Calls made with your own API keys are not recorded or stored by SlopTime.

What is a line?
A line represents capacity for one paid call. Starting checkout reserves an available line for you. Your first call uses that reservation; ending the call releases the line.
We know this is a little silly, but fal (the provider we use to generate the videos) limits how many generations can run at the same time, so lines keep calls from failing when that concurrency limit is reached.
What uses a video credit?
Welcomes, idle loops, and reply clips each use one credit when the video service accepts them. Call length and playback speed do not; a longer response uses additional credits only when it needs additional five-second videos.
BYOK calls use your own provider account and do not have a sloptime video balance.
Why might I see a 30-second countdown?
If every line becomes allocated before you start your reserved call, you have 30 seconds to start it. Once the countdown begins, it does not pause or reset. If it expires, you keep your videos but must wait for an available line.
What happens when all lines are busy?
New checkout is unavailable, so nobody pays without an available line. If you already purchased videos, they stay saved and the page updates when a line becomes available.
How do I use my own API keys?
Open Settings, choose “My own keys,” and add the requested provider API keys. Your calls will use your own provider accounts, so you won't have to wait for one of sloptime's paid lines.
What if I clear my browser data or change browsers?
Because there is no account to sync your credits, clearing this site's data can remove your access. Keep your Stripe receipt and email support with it so we can verify the purchase and help restore access.
Who can see a paid recording?
We do not publish, promote, review, train on, or otherwise use it. Other people can access it only if you send them its unguessable public link. We delete it after 30 days and disable the link.
Will you add other characters?
